He directly secured sponsors such as Panera Bread, Jiffy Lube, Culver’s as commercial sponsors and recruited 27 leading cultural and entertainment partners such as the Art Institute of Chicago, Shedd Aquarium, Chicago Children’s Museum, Kane County Cougars, and many others. The program drove up summertime reading program completion by 75% during its seven-year run from 2001-2008.
He also developed a collaborative marketing program called the West Suburban Theater Connection to enable leading theaters to reach new patrons. Formerly competitive theaters such as Paramount Arts Center, The Mac, Metropolis, and others worked together to promote their shows through an integrated marketing program Chris developed using print, digital, email, POS, and web channels with sponsorship from a leading suburban bank to drive it all. The program generated increased ticket sales for even the smallest theaters.
